Julie Franklin
Chief Executive Officer
Julie Franklin founded Julie Renee & Associates and serves as it’s Chief Executive Officer. Her passion for helping individuals and entities whose purpose is providing needed services, support and goods to those residing in our communities, gives her the drive to share the skills and experience she has acquired to support others in all of their administrative areas allowing them to focus on their drive for success.
Julie has an extensive background in Non-Profit Management, For-Profit Management and Public Accounting, operating as both a tax accountant and auditor. Julie graduated Cum Laude from Kent State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She earned her fifth year from Florida Gulf Coast University while studying for her master’s degree in accounting and taxation. Julie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) candidate and holds a certification as a Professional in Human Resources.
First working for a public accounting firm in Ashtabula, Ohio, Julie later relocated to Florida upon accepting the CFO position of a newly established corporation that grew into a 27-location retail enterprise. She led the accounting, human resource and operation departments during her two-year tenure. In 2007, Julie joined a public accounting firm where she worked in taxation and auditing until 2013.
Julie joined The Shelter for Abused Women & Children in 2013 as its Chief Financial Officer overseeing finance, human resources, facilities and grant management. In 2017, she accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer, guiding the effective operation of programs and services, personnel, facilities and The Shelter’s finances until 2024 when she resigned shifting her focus on making a bigger impact. In 2019-2020, she served as the internal project manager for the construction of the Shelly Stayer Shelter for Victims of Human Trafficking & Domestic Violence in Immokalee and was instrumental in launching The Shelter’s Human Trafficking program.
Julie’s strong combination of public and private experience, as well as her expertise and proven passion in non-profit and for-profit accounting, human resources, leadership and management, results in strategic insights that allow her to consistently deliver innovative, value-added solutions to clients and friends of Julie Renee & Associates.
